land ever-changing
3 x 4 ft woven fabric, bambu warp yarns, assorted weft yarns
The land with which we coexist is one of constant change. What's remarkable about the soil we build our lives upon, is the fact that it is full of life and ever changing. This piece, as well as the following samples, draw inspiration from a single vintage found postcard that simply depicts a sprawling strawberry field in Santa Ana, California. The weavings produced explore subtle changes in the land, ones that change perspective depending on how they are viewed. From afar, you can see the how the fields are constantly moving and undulating in never ending color gradients.
